Sunless tanning products can sometimes leave the skin feeling dry, so moisturising will help to keep the skin hydrated and prevent the tan from becoming patchy or fading prematurely.
However, it is important to choose a moisturiser that is specifically formulated for use with sunless tanning products. Regular moisturisers can contain ingredients that can cause the tan to fade quicker and become uneven. I have always educated my clients about this. 80% of the moisturises on the market will most definitely not extend the life of your tan especially with products that include oils within them. Oils strip the tan and only allows your tan to last a few days.
Most importantly you should wait until the sunless tanning product has fully developed before moisturising. This may up take up to 24 hours with our products depending on how well you prepped your skin before hand.
